Albertina is a full-service fine jewelry store, serving the Malibu area since 2019.

Owner, Winnie Johnson, has worked in the jewelry industry for 15 years since earning a BFA in sculpture from Pratt Institute in 2003 and multiple certifications from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in 2007 and 2009.

Prior to opening Albertina, Winnie co-managed a start-up that became a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund semi-finalist. She then spent five years designing custom bridal jewelry for a top engagement ring shop in the Los Angeles jewelry district. For two years she oversaw high-jewelry production, notably creating a diamond encrusted glove worn by Madonna on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine.

After the Woolsey fire, Winnie felt a strong desire to bring her expertise in jewelry design to serve her neighborhood. Very quickly, a vibrant community of local jewelry designers and collectors has grown around the store. 

Current designers on view are Alexa Sidaris, Carrie Hoffman, DRU, Susan Highsmith, Irit Design, Sheble Croninger, Gemma Couture, Thorsten, Joon Han, and Sara Weinstock.
